Comfort
When you first look at this chair, the word “comfort” probably won’t spring to mind. It looks pretty hard and rigid, but when you actually try it out, you’ll find that the back is pretty flexible and yet provides enough support to keep you focused when working.
The seat itself is pretty utilitarian, with minimal padding. Despite this, it’s still very comfortable, and the slight dip in the center helps redistribute your weight so that you don’t have to shift around as the hours pass. Whether you need a chair for work or just for chilling, the Celle has got your back.
Appearance
The Celle has a unique appearance, with a transparent back and sleek, modern design. It should – it was created by a designer named Jerome Caruso, a man with years of experience in this field. Often, you’ll find that the brighter colors clash with your décor, but the Celle chair’s variants are actually fairly muted and all of them look great.
Even the mechanisms are pleasing to the eye. Usually, on the underside of the seat, there’s a mess of levers and systems. However, the Celle hides these within a plastic shell, and all gears and knobs are located in easy to reach areas.
Features
While this chair can only recline up to 28°, it’s highly customizable. Take the armrests, for instance: they’re fully adjustable and can be moved in or out as you’d prefer. It’s exceptionally sturdy too, with a weight capacity of up to 350 lbs, so you don’t have to worry about overloading it.
As you’d expect, the height is adjustable. There’s also a tension controller for the recliner function and even a handle for adjusting the firmness of the back support. If you’re the kind of person that has very particular requirements for your seating, the Herman Miller Celle will allow you to meet them.
