Secretlab TITAN EVO 2022 Series Review

When shopping for a gaming chair, there are some things gamers keep in mind: affordability, comfort, and design. This is especially true if your gaming involves long sessions.

I’ll be reviewing the Secretlab Titan Evo 2022 Series gaming chair now and giving my final verdict as to how well this chair performs to gamers’ expectations and how easy it is to get set up.

Packaging & Assembling

When the Titan Evo 2022 arrived, it came in a compact and relatively small box (see image above). The packaging design wasn’t too glaring to the eye and was pretty standard. Once opened, the contents within the box were easy to get out and ready for assembly.

Assembling the TITAN Evo 2022 took no longer than 30 minutes as it only requires 15 steps to complete. It was very easy to assemble without an assembly guide, but one is provided if you need it.

Design

The design of the Titan Evo 2022 is really nice, especially when compared to other gaming chairs. It has great ergonomics and doesn’t require you to really have to move in a discomforting way to adjust the chair to your comfort.

Here is a short list of what the Titan Evo 2022 chair has which really stood out to me:

• A curved base bottom helps with your sitting posture
• A magnetic head cushion that does away with straps (Gamers know those can be really annoying!)
• Adjustable chair sitting height
• Arm support that can be easily adjusted with a few clicks (4 different sets of adjustments)
• Reclining feature which allows it to be a very versatile chair for things other than gaming
• The leather and material are nice and smooth
• The movement of the chair’s wheels is smooth

Considering the material that the Titan Evo 2022 chair is made from, I do think it is a chair that requires some care after a long period of use (Especially if you opt for the more expensive upholstery). The leather and material truly give this chair a luxurious feel and makes it look stunning.

There are some accessories for care that can be purchased, but you can also use other accessories which can be found at your local convenience store.

At times the lever for adjusting the recliner also has jams (very infrequently).

Overall, the Titan Evo 2022 has a very nice design with little to complain about!  

Comfort

In terms of comfortability, the chair is second to none. What really stood out was the magnetic headrest cushion and their adjustable lumbar support. The headrest cushion is quite soft but does slip sometimes when you adjust your recliner.

Since you can recline to your desired level, your back has some rest and doesn’t need to be upright for an extended period. It does go far back as well (roughly 165-degree recline giving enough space if needed).

The chair is made of soft foam which allows it to conform to your body shape. And since it is offered in 3 different sizes (small, regular, XL), it leaves space for you to purchase additional accessories based on the size you choose.

Value

The price of the Titan Evo 2022 depends on the size you want.

For more bang for your money, getting the regular over the small is a no-brainer since they are of the same value. The pricing is a bit more than other models of older Secretlab chairs and the warranty isn’t too long (3 years) when compared to the price you are paying for this gaming chair.

However, given the functionality, design, and comfort that the Titan Evo 2022 gives to gamers, the price can be justified. If compared to other gaming chairs that have similar features to the Titan Evo 2022, I think this is genuinely worth the pricing.

Final Verdict

The Titan Evo 2022 really is a gamer’s dream chair. It provides all the functionality to make gaming feel so seamless. Especially if you have long gaming sessions.

Its design gives you many different adjustable functionalities which can be done without causing discomfort. At the same time, to say this chair is comfortable is really an understatement. There are few chairs to compare it to in this regard.

This chair is not for you if any of the issues may cause you too much of a problem:

• The adjustable recliner lever can get jammed at times (very rarely though)
• The head cushion can slip while adjusting the chair
• Warranty is not the best
• Packaging can be better

This premium gaming chair really is worth the money and is one worth giving a shot at!
